We are people that recognize the great need Waleska has for a strong Church.  We are working to strengthen our ministries everyday in order to serve this community and Glorify God.  Our goal is not to be flashy, but stable... Our Goal is not gimmicks, but Jesus.  Our Goal is not entertainment, but worship.  We are working to build something that will last. 

You can expect to be greeted by member, challenged by the message, and encouraged by the singing.  Right now, we are an older congregation and many areas of our church life are under construction.  We sing many older hymns, along with many newer hymns.  We preach expository sermons that flow straight from God's Word.  We are a church that watches our doctrine closely.  You can also expect that there is a place for you and your family.  We need Christ followers to help build God's Kingdom here in Waleska. 

The most important thing is that we aim to glorify God in all we do as a church.  We believe the best way to do that is to celebrate and honor God's Word everytime we come together.  Our celebration of God's Word will empower us to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with a dark world.  

1. We are committed to God's Word.  It is perect and sufficient for all our needs.  We will teach it unashamedly, and celebrate it together everytime we meet.
2. We are committed to having a healthy and biblical church.  We will never arrive fully, but as a church, we are united.  We want to see our church be as faithful to God's Word as possible.  
3. We are committed to being a stable force for families in the Waleska area.  We are not aiming at entertainment, but stability.  Our church is not driven by current trends, but by the timeless Word of God.  
4. We are in need of families to join us that get our vision.  We need people that want to join in our efforts to build something here that will outlast all of us.  We need people that would like to build a legacy for thier children and grandchildren right here.
5. Waleska needs a strong church.... Come help us strengthen Christ's church right here.

Waleska does have children, but not as many as we would like.  We are actively looking for ways to grow in this area.  We have wonderful workers ready and praying for more children to come.  

If you are a parent, please consider our church!  We have a unique opportunity for your children to be ministered to and discipled by people who have been followers of Christ for many years.  Many of our adults live out Psalm 71:18  "Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come."

This is a church where teaching your child about Christ is a priority.

Yes, Waleska is a Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Church by affiliation.  Historically, we have found our partnership with the SBC to be mutually beneficial.  Local churches cooperate together to help fund missionary endeavors around the world.  Local churches also cooperate to help fund the spread of the Gospel here in America.  

Waleska is also a autonomous church.  This means we do not answer to the SBC and they do not govern us in any way.  Waleska answers to the Word of God alone.  We will continue in cooperation with the SBC as long as we can do so in good faith.  Waleska FBC will remain faithful to the Word of God. 

Haha, please feel free to come in and be comfortable.  We have men who wear suits and men who wear shorts.  God is not concerned with your dress as much as He is your heart.  Come and worship with us! 

The Bibles we provide in the chairs of our sanctuary are the ESV (English Standard Version).  We recognize that many people have many different preferences when it comes to Bible translation.  Many of our members use multiple translations in their study.  We won't encourage you to latch onto just one translation, but we will encourage you to live a life committed to everything found in God's Word.

We believe that God created Man and Woman, and that this is His good and perfect design for His creation.  We believe that marriage is designed to be between one man and one woman for life.
