Mission 71:18 comes from Psalm 71:18 that says, "So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come."

It is a ministry of Waleska FBC where our older saints are connected with our younger generations. 

There are 3 primary goals of this ministry: 1. To follow the Bible's instruction that the older people in the congregation lead the younger.  2.  To ensure we have one unified church body at Waleska... Not multiple ones based on age categories.  3. To do our part to in making sure God is glorified in Waleska for many generations to come.

Any child from kindergarten through college can join us. 

Adult volunteers however MUST be members of Waleska FBC, in good standing, and with a clear background check. 

The adult in the partnership seeks ways to encourage, mentor, disciple, and be an example to the younger person.  We ask that the adult contact their younger partner at least 3 times a month outside normal church meeting hours.  This can be a simple text, postcard, email, letter, or phone call.  

Parents of the children have full control of how thier child is to be contacted and how often.
